Meet The Group

Every year during the month of September and October (and now 1 Saturday in November) our group does a presentation for the public, this year is no exception. Instead of a topic for each member, we will be doing what we are calling a round table discussion. Evidence will still be presented but we will be hearing from all of you about your experiences that you have had in the past or that you may be experiencing now. The list of libraries is growing. This doesn’t mean that if  you have an organization that would love to have us do a presentation that we would turn you down.

Some of the locations: Osgood, Milan, Versailles, Greensburg, Lawrenceburg, Rising Sun, North Vernon, Hartford City and Columbus. Hope to see all of you there.

Now to meet our group:

Steve Hodgson

Steve Hodgson
Founder/Investigator
Since he was a young child, Steve has been exposed to the paranormal. He remembers the story his grandmother told him of the day his uncle had died suddenly and his picture flew off the bureau and smashed into pieces in her house. While growing up, Steve remembers sitting in a church hall and waving to a church worker who was walking by and realizing he had passed away at least 3 years earlier. In Indiana, he saw his grandmother when she passed away be wheeled by him by a nurse. Problem was she had just passed away in NYC. Ever wonder what that noise was in the dead of the night in the other room? Ever think you heard someone say something though no one had? Ever though you saw something but nothing was there? Ever want answers to those questions? Now it is time to leave my head and let me search for answers…Steve has been seeking answers to this “unknown” for most of his adult life.

Missy has aware of the paranormal since she was a young child. She had many experiences having both seen and heard things that she could not explain. She has always been very interested in learning all she can about the paranormal and being able to provide evidence that there is more to what most people see and hear on a daily basis.

Terry Foist

Terry Foist
Investigator
Terry is a native of Indiana who has had his own experiences over the years with the paranormal. He has been interested in looking for the logical reasons for what is seen or heard before he will say it is unexplained. But, once there is no explanation for it, then that just peaks his interest that much more to explain the unexplainable.

Jenn Hodgson

A native of Indiana, Jennifer has always been sensitive to paranormal events and activities. At an early age she was taught about different things by a Native American neighbor. At the age of 7 she saw a woman appear in her doorway almost on a nightly basis. As she got older she had other experiences that she couldn’t explain, she would know things that she was never told not just about the living but also the dead. It wasn’t until the death of a loved one that she fully accepted her abilities. With all of the things that has taken place, all the things she has heard, seen and just known has increased her passion for the paranormal and the other side.

Born in Lexington, Kentucky then moved to Indiana as a young child, She has always been curious about life & death. As a child she saw many strange things that as an adult I have always tried to explain. As a member she hopes she will be able to understand the human life & death experience & use this knowledge to further my education in Psychology.

About ppijennifer

I guess we have to thank Television especially Reality TV for bringing paranormal investigating into the common accepted practices of today's society. If you think about it, 15 years ago you'd expect to see a bunch of geeky people running around chasing ghosts or spirits around cemeteries. Even though it has been investigated and documented for centuries, everyday culture has just begun to accept the fact that there is something else going on we cannot explain. That the people experiencing this activity are not crazy. That we can be seeing shadows or hearing voices and experiencing out of the ordinary activity which cannot be explained. This is where Professional Paranormal Investigations comes in. PPI as we like to call it was started by paranormal investigators Jennifer & Steve Hodgson. Having conducted investigations with another group, they decided they wanted to bring the paranormal investigations to the next level. There are so many "Ghost Hunting" groups in every city, many of which come and go a year later. Some do it strictly for fun and the thrill of the hunt. Some mean well but do not take what they are doing very seriously. This bothered Jenn & Steve. If a homeowner or business owner is experiencing activity and are requesting assistance it should become an immediate priority. It is a priority to the person calling since they are experiencing activity and want answers...why should the investigative group not be 100% serious and professional in return? You can be assured that at PPI we WILL ALWAYS take your case seriously. We are available to assist you. We know that you are seeking answers. Well amazingly so are we. We take a different approach though to an investigation than most others. We have consulted numerous parapsychologists on what to look for and what we should be doing. We scientifically document everything we do. If we experience something, we immediately attempt to debunk what is happening. Sorry, 9 times out of 10 "orbs" are just dust. If an EVP is not clear and if not everyone hears the same thing clearly on first listen, then it is not an EVP. Maybe it is noise...maybe it is a voice, we do not discharge what we find, we just place it in the body of evidence. We use sensitives to assist us during investigations. Some of our investigators "may" be able to gather some additional information on the energies present. We use this information to see if our scientific evidence matches their findings. If it does, the evidence becomes much more credible from both perspectives. We try our best to help as many people as possible who are truly in need.
